Omeath District Development CLG is a social economy enterprise

we are now recruiting for the position of Youth Support Worker to
deliver our Steering and Sparring Programme.
The aim of the programme is to engage with and support youths with an
objective to address risk-taking behaviour within the area of Omeath
and the wider Cooley Peninsula of Co Louth.
The programme will provide youths with the skills to build positive
community relations, engage in capacity building training, personal
development opportunity, recreational programmes, and engage in
activities that will support the creation of a safe and resilient
community.
The successful candidates shall be responsible for the recruitment of
participants, delivery, reporting and evaluating of this Dep of
Justice Community Safety Innovation Fund ?Steering and Sparring?
Programme.
JOB TITLE: Youth Support Worker ? CSIF Steering and Sparring

DURATION: This is a fixed term post funded until December **Apply on

post requires the holder to be flexible in working hours and will
involve scheduled evening and weekend work)
LOCATION: The Dolmen Centre, Omeath, Co Louth .
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* 3rd Level qualification in Youth/Community/Justice/Social work -
candidates with exceptional, relevant work experience may also be
considered in lieu of 3rd Level qualifications)
* 2 Year experience of working in a youth work setting
* Experience of managing programmes including budgets?and reporting
* Full Clean Driving License
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Interest in sport including boxing

and reference checks.
